Our History

The company was founded in the early nineties when Sander Meijer moved from Amsterdam to Barcelona, where he met his wife Vanesa Serret. Together, they established DEVS AV Rental Barcelona, with the name DEVS representing the initials of their family members.

Soon after launching, DEVS AV Rental received growing demand for AV rental and event staging services in major European cities such as Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Brussels, and Paris. To meet this expansion, they partnered with close friend Koen de Jager, which led to the opening of DEVS AV Rental Amsterdam.

Our story began in the early 1990s with LCD projectors, flip charts, HD televisions, and cabled uplighters. Since then, we have grown alongside the event industry, continuously updating and upgrading our audio-visual equipment to keep pace with new technologies and client expectations.

Today, we provide AV rental and event staging solutions for events of all sizes across the globe. We offer 1mm LED walls with modular frames such as beMatrix and Aluvision, transparent LED displays for innovative stage and booth designs, interactive touch screens, and complete audio, lighting, and staging setups. From corporate events, exhibitions, and conferences to hybrid meetings and live performances, our team delivers the equipment, expertise, and creativity to make it happen.
